David Kaplan: Bathroom
Scenario
Mismatched cousins reunite on a trip across Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure picks up steam when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. When Benji and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, a Jesse Eisenberg scene takes place; and his real ancestors settled in the diaspora. Benji Kaplan: We stay on the move, we stay light, we stay agile David Kaplan: Yes. Benji Kaplan: The guide comes over, buys the tickets, we tell him we’re going to the bathroom.
David Kaplan: That’s silly
Benji Kaplan: Gets in the back of the train, goes forward and looks for it. David Kaplan: I’m sorry, are we nomads: Yes? By the time you get to the front, the train will be at the station and we’ll be home free. Tickets are probably like twelve bucks. Benji Kaplan: That’s the principle.

We should not pay for train tickets in Poland. It is our country. David Kaplan: No, it was our country. They let us go because they thought we were cheap. Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: 46.44.
But I was very happy to see it!
I saw this movie last week at the AFI Film Festival in Hollywood. By the time I got to this movie I was suffering from a bit of filming overload and when I was talking to someone in the audience before the movie started I almost forgot what I was about to see! As you know from the synopsis, Jesse Eisenberg wrote, directed and stars in this great movie about two cousins' a trip to Poland to see the land of his beloved grandmother. Eisenberg perfectly plays the role for which he seems to be made – a tense, nervous and diligent family man who always wants to do the right thing. Joining Eisenberg is Kieran Culkin, who plays Eisenberg’s polar opposite—outspoken, open, and willing to break the rules, much to Eisenberg’s chagrin.
So I highly recommend you check it out as soon as possible
Culkin’s character easily befriends his fellow travelers and guides—again, much to Eisenberg’s amazement (and sometimes annoyance). The story itself is very compelling and you will definitely want to join them on their journey. Culkin is up for an Oscar, and Eisenberg could be nominated for writing and/or directing.
