It’s pure and simple fun
Clearly written, great writing, enough pathos not to turn into middle-class Big Bang Theory, a joy to watch. Yes, real therapists wouldn’t act like that, but anyone with a functioning brain cell would know that criticism from that point of view is just negativity for the purpose of downgrading. Are some of the characters stereotypes?
Full disclosure and worth watching the series for that alone
Yes, but no offense and shouldn’t be taken, FYI, I worked with a gay guy who was exactly the stereotype shown here. The real success here is mixing the seriousness of therapy and grief with the growing pains of life at different ages, stages and lifestyles and making it damn funny. Finally, who knew what a good light comedy actor Harrison Ford was?
