Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. Except for the Bat-Signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. However, for his own series, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.
The Penguin is just fantastic
An umbrella falls over and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Featured in Graham Norton i gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Wow.
I was wrong
Everyone knows what a good actor Colin Farrell is, but here he is unrecognizable as The Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him nominated for some award for his role in this film. The biggest surprise was Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone. I wasn’t too sure when I heard she was nominated for this role, she’s a good actress but I didn’t think this role was for her.
Here’s how you do it DC
She is just as good as Farrell in this film and makes you believe that Sofia Falcone is a real match for The Penguin. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see her nominated for some award for her role in this film. This isn’t your typical DC or Marvel show, it’s a gangster show. This series is set in the underworld of a now half-destroyed Gotham City and is a great continuation of Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
